Zeguro stands behind our values, and this post on our value of transparency is an example of practicing what we preach -- with customers, employees and partners.
It goes without saying that there is a growing dichotomy between what we experience and what we believe to be true. Everyday, people struggle to process an overwhelming amount of information, unsure of its source or bias. This new reality is the basis for Zeguro’s product, which provides a trusted way to keep businesses safe from the unseen. It is also a fundamental value that drives how we operate as a business.
Our first value, You First, grows from our insistence that our customers and employees should be considered first in all of our actions as a company. Our second value, Transparency, is fundamental to helping everyone we interact with -- from our employees to our customers to our partners -- understand and share in how Zeguro presents itself to the world.
For us, transparency comes through the way we communicate. To be more specific, it is a combination of three elements:
This value of transparency informs the way we design our SaaS-based risk management platform and the way we sell cyber insurance. Honesty, clarity, and simplicity are foundational to our always-on security monitoring, the risk levels we identify, our training and education programs, and even how we calculate insurance premiums and coverages. We focus on translating the legalese of insurance into terminology that is both easy to understand and easy to see what you are paying for.
We also apply transparency to how we work together as employees. Everyone at Zeguro is empowered to help shape and define what the company is and will become. That is only possible if we all know what is happening with the company -- our successes and our opportunities. We bring our whole authentic selves to work and, in the process, have created an almost family-like environment. We celebrate big events in our lives -- weddings, birthdays, puppies -- and support each other in difficult times. In so many ways, we aren’t merely co-workers. We believe that our commitment to transparency with our customers flows into how people at Zeguro discuss and handle ourselves internally and externally.
Why is this so important to us? When we were hiring our first team members, we came across a handful of candidates who did not share our values. In some especially bad instances, they seemed better suited to a career as a snake oil salesmen than future colleagues representing Zeguro. We figured if we could see through that, then so can customers. We apply the same thinking and have the same expectations of our business partners, which has made those relationships work very well for both parties.
This second, and equally important value of ours shows our commitment to everyone we work with and work for. Even this post is reflective of the need not just to claim transparency, but to voice it, as a way to live the value we stand behind.
